Well this might be a good place to ask I bought a Game Gear some days ago with Columns, which is a cool game (I like this Tetris-Stuff). Anyway, I dont really know whats good and what's not. Any recommendations? Also, is there some kind of region code used in the games?

There is no region code, every game will work on any system. Some games have different language versions on one cartridge, and will display the title according to what region your Game Gear is from. E.g. if you put a Japanese Bare Knuckle II game in a European Game Gear, the title will say Streets of Rage II.
I recommend:
- Magical Puzzle Popils - GG Aleste (very rare) - GG Aleste II (in Europe: Power Strike II)

Sonic the Hedgehog Chaos And if you like puzzle games, there's one very nice : Dr. Robotnik Mean Bean Machine, the Sonic's version of Puyo Pop.

I have never heard Magical Puzzle Popils. Seems like a Puzzle game, might give it a try. Aleste is cool, I don't want to spend too much money for handheld games though as I like console gaming more, but i'll keep my eyes open Sonic of course, thats not very expensive too. I'll get them for sure.

Well, I haven't actually played any Game Gear games, but I recently got Super Nazo Puyo (for Super Famicom) and I and my fiends (including my brother's gf) love it - thus I feel relatively safe in recommending Puyo Puyo for GG.
