Awesome military strategy game. One of the best ever made and the fight scenes were great too.

My US copy of the game wore out from use and they are quite rare here, however I was able to find a japanese version brand new on ebay and I'm very happy with it...other than a few language difficuties its exactly the same. Since I already knew the mechanics of the game, the language was no problem.

This game actually started out on the Turbo Graphx system/pc engine I believe.

It is a great game - variations of it are available on other platforms - turbo-grafx/hucard (as mentioned), game boy and pc. There was also a pc engine game of the series called Neo Nectaris which had some interesting additional units (my favorite was an infantry unit that could repair damage to units next to it). I also have a japanese strategy guide for nectaris which is pretty nifty.

(There were also two precursors to the series that were on the super famicom.)

Yeah nectaris looks really cool. Maybe i'll buy the GB Version as i dont have a pc-engine... i hope its good
