Not only does he not have anything for sale, but a bunch of bids I had were cancelled, with the email messages saying that the auctions were cancelled for "violating ebay policy" or something!? It's like his whole 600+ list of games was cancelled. Can anyone else confirm this?
Yamatoku is my fave ebay seller, so I certainly hope he returns to it!

I got a bit worried myself (still am). I'm afraid to pay for the items I recently won. What if Hisashi died? Probably not that bad, but still.

I got a reply from Yamatoku earlier today.
Apparently his auctions were pulled from eBay due to reports of "shill bidding". Yamatoku assures us it isn't him doing the shill bidding (well, I trust him!), but he does not know who's been doing the false reporting (e.g. competitor? disgruntled buyer?).

So basically Ebay do not want people who is highly related to the seller to bid on the item. Like me bidding on my freinds/parents/co-workers item just to raise the price or to give points to seller even if there sales are clean to raise positive remarks. etherway ebay still makes a share of the seller.
There must have been alot repeative activity from multiple buyers that formed a patern.

I'm sure you've all noticed already, but Yamatoku is back.
Long Live Yamatoku!

I saw that the site was maintained, ie sold items are unlisted, but there hasn't been an addition update in about a month; is Yamatoku clearing out the site and going to Ebay only?

I saw that the site was maintained, ie sold items are unlisted, but there hasn't been an addition update in about a month; is Yamatoku clearing out the site and going to Ebay only? 7 years have passed since your observation, but it appears you are right. His own web store is gone for good. He is now exclusively on eBay. I'm pretty sure it's because sometime within the past 7 years, eBay forbids the advertising of your own website on eBay listings and/or the duplicate item policy.
