The first time I tried to remove a disk from my Sega Saturn I made a mistake which prevented the Saturn from reading any disk. The disk seemed to be stuck so I tried to remove it the same way I do for other consoles such as the GameCube; I pressed down firmly on the spindle while pulling up the disk by its edge. This pushed the spindle down into the console so that the read head was no longer at the correct distance from the disk.
I was able to fix it eventually, but now I remove disks very gently, because the spindle may have become looser in its shaft.
